Teide: How about losing yourself at 3718 m? You can climb to the peak of the Teide by foot or alternatively using the cable car. Enjoy a whole day discovering every corner of the Teide and all of its secrets. Be amazed by the spectacular views of the sunset all the way at the summit, discover a whole universe of stars in one of clearest skies in the world for star observations, the perfect opportunity for an astronomical tour, enjoying a picnic in full harmony and balance with nature.
Coast and Beaches: To begin with let me start of by telling you that we have a list of nine beaches catalogued with a blue flag for 2019: El Socorro, San Telmo, Playa Jardín, Mesa del Mar, Bajamar, Las Vistas, El Camisón, La Jaquita and La Arena. If you don’t know what it means to have beaches catalogued with blue flag, I will explain it to you briefly: The Blue Flag is an award given annually since 1987 by the European Foundation for Environmental Education to beaches that meet a series of environmental friendly conditions and facilities. Enough of that, let me tell you what is experienced at our beautiful beaches, rest assured you won’t want to be leaving them once you are here :D. Just imagine, you are on the most beautiful beaches landscape wise, with one of the world’s nicest climates, and our local ¨chiringuitos¨ at your footsteps to be able to enjoy the islands mouth-watering local delights, often caught straight from the sea.
Gastronomy: Oh mother…! Where should I start? Mmhhh, yammmm….so you will hear from your friends and from yourself when you start to taste the Canarian dishes, making your taste buds over-stimulated and experience an intense and pleasant gastronomical pleasure! I will name you the best known dishes, but you have the obligation to enjoy all the gastronomic range that we make using recipes from our descendants. What you must absolutely try: our wrinkled potatoes, mojos, meat (rabbit in salmorejo sauce, goat meat, watercress stew, roasted leg,) and fish (Sancocho Canario, fish casserole, marinated tuna), cheeses (roasted cheese with green and red mojos, almogrote), gofio, wines which I could talk for hours because we have many wines of origin renown due to the excellent quality and favorable conditions that are given in the islands to create the best wines recognized since history as well known to be enjoyed by the great writer William Shakespeare), desserts (pumpkin omelette, Frangollo, Bienmesabe).
