Los Realejos is a rewarding north-Tenerife area for coastal walks, rural views and local traditions. It is best known to many visitors for the Rambla de Castro landscape.
Rambla de Castro
This coastal area combines palms, historic traces and Atlantic views. Use established paths, wear suitable footwear and check conditions before setting out. Do not approach unstable cliff edges.
Beaches and coast
The north coast is dramatic and conditions can be strong. Follow signs, lifeguards and access restrictions; enjoy the scenery from land if bathing is not safe.
Festivals
Local programmes vary each year. Use official council information for dates, routes and traffic arrangements, especially around major celebrations.
Practical route
Combine Los Realejos with Puerto de la Cruz or Icod. A car helps, but use designated parking and leave time for slow local roads.
