How you get around Tenerife<\/strong> depends on your itinerary. A car is the most flexible option for Teide, Anaga, Teno, viewpoints and villages. Buses and trams work particularly well for selected urban journeys, while taxis and ferries are useful in specific situations.<\/p>\n

Car hire for island exploration<\/h2>\n

A car makes the biggest difference when your plans go beyond one resort. It gives you control over departure times and lets you stop at viewpoints, beaches and smaller towns. Allow for mountain roads, parking and longer travel times in the north and west.<\/p>\n
